My Ramblings

Wow!

It's been a LONG time since my last entry!  It's been a long time since I've even read blogs! But, hopefully, I'm back.  I've been busy with work for the most part.  Mostly I'm so tired when I get home that I just crash at the house. 

Only 2 weeks left until my due date!  I'm getting so slow and heavy! :o)  I went walking this weekend with my sister and a friend of ours for an hour around town, and I was suprized I kept up!  I was super tired after, but I didn't push myself too hard.  It has been wonderful weather, and this weekend was no exception.  It was nice to be able to talk to them while we walked so that the time went by better and seemed faster.  Saturday I had my 2nd and last shower.  It was fun.  My home church gave it for me, and it wore me out! :o)  Everyone has been very generous to my dh and me.  We have just about everything we need that I know of.  I'm sure there will be things to pop up when the time comes to need it that I don't realize now, though.  My sister helped my sort through the baby clothes and return a few of the items that we had duplicates of.  I still have a little bit left to do in the returning area, but it'll have to wait until I have time...ha! :o) 

I finished my sister's shawl, and I will need to take a picture of it and post it, however I cannot do this immediately, b/c my camera needs charging.  I'm still working on the baby blanket.  I do not think I'll take up another knitting project until I finish this blanket. 

Our house is coming close to being finished!!!  Praise the Lord!!  The schedule for finishing date is October 11th...so maybe I'll be able to come home from the hospital to a new house. 

We boiled shrimp last night late, so that should be for dinner tonight.  I think I'm gonna make cornbread and blackbean-and-corn salad to go with it.  It's all super easy (and cheap), but one of our favorites!  I'll give you the recipe for the salad.  And boiled shrimp, in the case that heaven forbid, but you don't know how to boil shrimp.  :o)

Glad you are back up and running..LOL well slowly walking...Yes the weather here too has been really pleasant...Went to a few thrift shops the other day and it was enjoyble walking in the coolness of the day..Hope your house is ready for your new arrival,and send pic's as soon as possible...Debbie
