I sure had a full day today. After milking the goats and feeding the other animals, I came in and put my ski headband on, because it is cold!!!! The wind is really blowing out.... I cut back my herbs because tomorrow morning it is suppose to be only 30.... I cut most most of my herbs and started drying them. It smelled yummy while the peppermint was in the dehydrator, but when the chives and parsley went in, it got a bit strong smelling....lol. But all the herbs are hanging, or have been dryed and packed in jars and the seeds are in brown lunch bags ready for next spring. Then I after I cleaned up after lunch, I gave our new puppy a bath....here she is: She's a German Shephard and her name is Laila...means midnight in Hebrew...We sure do love her already. Oh, and after that I dyed some of my own handspun yarn in Kool aid....I used grape and lemonade, because my sons ball team colors are purple and gold...I'll knit or crochet a scarf and ski band from it. The purple isn't really as purple as I'd like it, nor is the gold, gold....it's yellow, but it will work ok. I need to order some good yarn dye, so I can really have fun. I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow, if the colors are dark enough. I watched a few youtube videos on it, and used the microwave version. For dinner, it was leftover chicken noodle soup from Sabbath, and crackers. I think the kids are asking me for hot chocolate....so I think I'll go pop some popcorn and make them some hot cocoa. The fires going and it's time to sit and chill...I will either spin or knit...... Have a blessed evening.... |
