Heritage Acres Farm

Wow...

You guys are the best... I mean Really!
500 of you came by my site yesterday.  That is amazing... and let me tell you I KNOW that there were prayers going up. Not only for me, but for my family. I have chills thinking about what happens when we obey and pray!

~2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.~

Last night, I suggested that Shannon sleep in the recliner so that he could prop his arm on the arm of the chair and not have to hold it up, being that holding it in a certain way was the only way he was getting any relief.  It was swollen so big it was hard to the touch... and HOT, oh my it was hot. The red infection area had gone at least 4 inches outside the box that the doctor had drawn. We had another appointment for 8:30 this morning.
I had him soak it in as HOT of water as he could stand, afterwards I washed it and then applied tea tree oil.  Still he was in a good deal of pain. He laid down in the recliner and started watching Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom and fell asleep.  I wanted to be near so I went to sleep on the couch.  This morning his arm looks SO much better! We both know, it is because the prayers that have been going up on our behalf. Thank you, thank you... from the depths of my heart, thank you.
I was so touched by your heartfelt comments yesterday.  To know that we have Brother's and Sister's in Christ all over this world that care enough for each other to pray and lift one another up is truly a blessing.
May God bless... each and EVERY one of you.
xoxo

Hey Chasity,
I didn't comment yesterday, but have been reading about everything that's going on with you guys and have been praying. Still hoping everything works out for the best.

Me too

so that's 502!
Have you guys tried Grapefruit Seed Extract? (it must be grapeFRUIT seed, not grapeseed!) It's a powerful natural antibiotic, I oringinally got it to use as a preservative in soap making, you can apply it topically or also take it (VERY dilute. Like 10 drops in half a glass of water)it is the BEST for shifting infection, imho.

Praying for you all

Jackie

I didn't think about this yesterday, but your comment about hard and hot got me thinking. Mastitis does the same type of thing, and I seem to like getting mastitis as often as I can. I gave up antibiotics after getting it 7 times in a row with my third child. I wrap myself in cabbage leaves, and the cabbage draws the infection out. I don't know how, but I promise it works. I also did it once for a spider bite. Anyway, if you wanted a home remedy to try :) I'm glad it's feeling better.- Becky @ onelittle

Praise God!

I am so glad Shannon is doing better this morning! If you want that grapefruit seed extract, I will drop it by this afternoon. Soaking in hot water was probably a good idea too- that's what K's doctor in WA always said was the best thing for infection in a bug bite or ingrown toenail; whenever people soak something in hot water and epsom salts, it's the hot water that actually does the best work. That's what Dr. C said anyway.

Becky's idea about cabbage leaves is a good one too! That is just what mastitis feels like and the cabbage is supposed to work wonders for that. And Shannon has the benefit of not worrying about drying up his milk ;)

I'm so glad that your outlook is better today as well! There's just something wrong with the world when you're not cheering me up. I know God has great plans for you guys and I pray that He'll reveal some of them to you soon.

Love you!!

Glad he's doing better

Glad you are doing better, too :-)

How do you know you had 500 visitors? I would like to be able to track my visitors but I haven't found the right thing.
