Topsy Turvy

Life... pretty much right now... it is still a bit topsy-turvy.  We are still uncertain of what is going to happen when Shannon finishes up this job.  It has been extended until Thursday, so that is a blessing for sure.
My kitchen table has been turned into a stage for my pumpkins.  My room is completely upside down with fabric, ribbons, glue guns and all manner of craftiness.  So as I finish things they are going to my kitchen table.  I have 13 dishcloths made and I hope to at least take 50.  I have 30 pumpkins and I hope to at least take 100.  I have 2 quilted table squares and I hope to take 5-10.  I have several shirts, onesies, hair-bows and odd and ends ready.  It is coming along nicely.  If I can just keep it up.  I have not went to bed until after 1:00 am for the past 3 nights because of a late night cup of caffeine and a good girly movie.  They have been very productive nights, but I am sure the lack of sleep will be catching up on me soonly.
I thank you so much for your continued prayers and we look forward to watching God work in this situation.  May God bless each and every one of you.
My Cup Runneth Over...

her worth is far above rubies

Dear Chas, Surely your worth is far above rubies. I love the pumpkins, you are very talented. Jesus must be so proud of you.
I am sorry to hear of your hubby's job loss. We had the same experience last Feb. and my hubby began work 8/11. It was a journey to be sure. I am praising Jesus for the time we had him home. So many projects completed that we never seemed to have time to do. All your great money saving recipes were a blessing to me and we will continue to use them.
Your family is in my prayers. I pray the Lord will bless your servants heart. Cynthia

What adorable little pumpkins!!!!! I love them. And BTW, I love your fall placemats and napkins and napkin rings on your table. I need to find some!!!! LOL

We received the package in the mail today, and I wanted you to know that Noah saw the little vest with the dogs on it and starting making Ruf ruff dog noises and had to "pet" the dogs. LOL He also loved the other clothes and hugged them all, but I do think the dogs are his fav!! LOL

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

Hi Chas,
I've just been reading your blog about your husband's job issues, and wanted to write and encourage you. My husband was out of work all this year (unplanned). It's a long story, but has to do with a retail business we bought, but no shop available to set it up, and it just kept dragging on month by month. In the end it was nearly 10 months that we were out of work. We have a mortgage and 3 little children and one on the way. He has a job now - starts 3 weeks, but I just wanted to write and encourage you because I know how difficult and worrisome and how confusing this time is, and how for 8 months I cried out to God everyday to please answer our prayers for an income and please provide for us. It has been a trial of our faith - not easy by any means and we are still waiting for God's answer, but I truly can say that it has brought my husband and I closer, I have been able to refocus my ideals and priorities, and I truly believe that God uses these times to test our faith - for the days are growing evil, and we don't know what God has planned for us in the future, but there will be a reason and there will be a way that this can be turned for His good and His Glory. (I'm trying to convince myself here too LOL)! God has provided a way for us, but even so it has not been in the way that we would have liked, and we are still working through that - but I am grateful that in the meantime we will have some money coming in, and we can stay here in this place that we love. He won't let you down - He will provide a way.
Hope this is encouraging. Just wanted you to know I know what it's like to go through this, and that I'll be thinking of you and praying for you.
