A Great Tip for Tuesday

Good Morning!
I have a clever little tip for you today.
Isn't it frustrating when you come in from the garden with your clogs or other garden shoes and track in clumps of grass or dirt? Well, I have a solution for that...
I took two wooden dowels and cut them in half.  I hammered them in the ground beside my back door steps, when I go out to the garden or the laundry line, I just slip on my shoes, when I am done, I leave them on the dowels.  Saves a lot of tracking in mud, grass and dirt on my part.
I did the same for the children.
And it looks cute too... think of it as yard art!
I hope you  have a great day and may God richly bless you and your homestead.

Now how did I miss that?! Too cute, but the dogs would get them around here. Good to see you today.

You'd have to admit, that if you were a dog, Croc's would be just pretty fun to chew on.

Chas,
The pics are so cute...I don't want to scare you, but I DO want to warn you...Jamey has killed at least 8 black widow spiders in our yard just this week!!! They seem to be REALLY bad this yera...SO for those dark shoes that aren't clogs, you might want to really check them out before putting your foot in them! I'm terrified of these spiders now.

garden of shoes

I bet it's colorful outside your door with all the shoes. A slightly different way to do it would be to use wooden spoons or put something on the end of the dowels. both my dh and I had accidents tripping and falling onto stakes when we were kids (stitches included). We have matching scars on our chins. Just a preventative thought.
In Christ's peace,
Christy
