Frugal tip!!

I am all for saving money and for being healthy.  I am blessed to have grown up with a mom that practiced healthy cooking.  I learned a lot from her example.  One thing she did all the time while we were growing up and now I do is make "Better Butter", a recipe that she found in the "More With Less" cookbook.  REAL butter is so much healthier for you than any processed man-made version.  Nothing compares to what God makes...... anyway, butter can be hard to spread and is much more costly than the cheap margarine.  Our solution:  Make "Better Butter" ....  make the real butter go farther and keep it easy to spread

Better Butter
Blend together in the blender equal parts real butter and canola oil.  (allow the butter to sit out at room temp till soft before blending)  Once well blended pour into containers and store in the fridge.  This will spread wonderfully, even when cold, and tastes wonderful!!!!!!

Have a blessed day!

Better Butter

Thanks for the recipe. I've been trying to use "natural" products as much as possible. This looks like it will extend the butter as well as make it spreadable. Thanks!!!
