Wonderful article
I came across a very interesting article. I loved her writing style and she should publish this article in a magazine..... Anyway, at the "mom's group" I meet with every week we have had conversations (many times) that very closely follow her article.... Hospitality vs. Entertaining. Check out her article.... especially if you have ever had your heart rate quicken at a "drop in visit". My playroom is the room you first enter in our home... usually there are toys out.... next is the kitchen and dining room... usually there are some signs of dishes..... the living room is usually always "clean", although not right now because the kids dumped their back packs and coats there after school. With the right heart we can practice hospitality, the kind that God calls us to give. Hospitality is about the other person, blessing them! Entertaining is about me, impressing the quest with my home, cooking, etc. Tomorrow I am visiting a friend.... her house is not a "Martha Stewart" home, but I always feel 100 % welcome and cherished. Our children play with each other and I always leave her home thankful for a friend like her. When she comes over to my house I hope she feels just as special. Cheers to hospitality and friendship!!!
Have a Blessed Day!
