Frugal Friday Tip of the Week!

SLUSHIES!!!
My kids LOVE them.... they always want them when we go to town.... but they are too pricey so they are only for special treats. However, recently I tried something new at home and they love it. I buy the powdered gateraid to mix up to take to baseball and softball games. It is sooooo much cheaper to buy the powder. Anyway, I started making a gateraid slushy that the kids really enjoy. It is GREAT for the hot days of July and August. I plan on making some more of these this week as we hit our local county fair.
Gateraid slushy
Fill blender 3/4 full of ice
fill to top of ice with water
add gateraid powder (amount directions on can)
Blend away till consistency of slushy!!!
Drink, enjoy and stay hydrated all at the same time....
and for Pennies!!!! |
