This past Wednesday I got a call from my friend, Lorraine, asking if we'd like two tickets to the Canucks game against the Colorado Avalanche for that night. Her Company holds seasons tickets that they give to clients, but nobody could attend that night (these were $100 each tickets!!!). She had actually asked for DH, thinking HE'D like to go. Well, if you know me at all, you'd know that those tickets never even MADE it to DH! Connie & I went to the game and we had a blast! The Canucks lost in the shootout, but it was fun nonetheless - a GIRLS' night out!
Here's a pic of Connie as we were walking to the stadium....isn't she gorgeous (she's gonna kill me for putting this on here!!)???
And a couple of pics from the game....
So, thanks so much to Lorraine for the great tickets! We had a blast!!
And speaking of the Canucks (our beloved hometown team), the trade deadline was Tuesday. The only trade that our team made was to trade our Matt Cooke (left winger) for Matt Pettinger (also a left winger) from the Washington Capitals. Just wanted to say that we'll miss you, Cookie!
Well, our hockey season is over. Our beloved Vancouver Canucks lost last night to the Anaheim Ducks in double OT. The better team won. The only reason we had come so far in the playoffs was because of Roberto Luongo, our goalie. The team needs a rest. There will always be a next year, but fans have been waiting for a Stanley Cup now for 37 years in this city. Oh, well...
Still peeling wallpaper here. What a tedious job. I think we're almost half-way finished, though. I'll be glad to never see another piece of this wallpaper again in my life. My thanks to my best friend, Connie, for all her help and hard work.
Will write more later. Have to have my shower and get ready for more wallpaper stripping.
