Poem of the Day-March 25, 2006

Prayer For This House
--------------------------------------
"May nothing evil cross this door,
And may ill fortune never pry
About these windows, may the roar
And rains go by.
Strengthened by Faith, the rafters will
Withstand the battering of the storm.
This hearth, although the world grow chill,
Will keep you warm.
Peace shall walk softly through these rooms,
Touching you lips with Holy Wine,
Till every corner blooms
Into a shrine.
Laughter may drown the raucous shout
And, though the sheltering walls are thin,
They are strong enough to keep hate out
And hold Love in.”

poem
Lovely poem, may I post it at my blog as well, please and thank you?
When we bought our farm, but before we moved in, I walked the perimeter and prayed Gods' blessings on it and all who entered. I prayed Gods' protection, grace and mercy be upon everyone and everything that put foot on "our" farm. I prayed God would be glorified and He would allow His angels to be given the job of keeping us from harm.
<g> I figure there are people out there who aren't giving "their" angels any jobs...so I make up by giving angels *lots* of jobs.
God's blessings on you, yours and the work of your hands.
