Can cookies and breads be mailed??

Okay long time no blog...LOL! I have a question for all you crafty gals! I would like to mail some cookies and homemade bread out, but is it still good when the items arrive to the receiver??

I'm shipping within the US, so nothing overseas.

I really want to send some friends some home baked goodies (pumpkin bread, cookies, etc) but I'm afraid they'll be yucky and old? HELP!

Also, if shipping homebaked goods IS possible, what are some good ideas for packaging, etc? And what shipping method is best? Thanks in advance!!

Rachael

My sister bakes things every week to send to her hubby in Iraq and has great success. I do know she vacuum seals everything in her sealer.

I once had a friend from Florida send me some sugar cookies in an air-tight cake tin (not sure what you call them there), and they arrived in perfect condition from halfway across the world! You can always try it and see what happens.
