• 2007-Jan-11 - Sunny but cold

It's been sunny here, but cold and we are supposed to get another cold front over the weekend.  I guess I shouldn't complain because if I were in my home state of Colorado, I would have gone through 3 blizzards by now!  I have to say, I don't miss the snow, really.  I loved it as long as I could stay inside where it was warm and cozy, but if I had to venture out (as I did when I lived there - to school and work), I really didn't like it at all!  One time, I was behind a snow plow on a busy street and I hit a patch of ice and ran into the snow plow!  Very embarrassing when the driver looks back at you and rolls his eyes!    I can laugh about it now, but wouldn't want to do it again!

I'm fixing a roast and homemade bread today and will have my in-laws over for a meal.  I have been diligent about asking them over for meals since my resolution to do so.  I worry about what they are eating as I don't think they really cook or eat like they should.  I always make enough to send some home for them to enjoy for a couple more days during the week.  Today I'm making wheat bread and I hope they like it.  It's so much more healthful for us all than the white.

My back has been acting up again, so I'm babying it right now.  I'm having my children do any lifting or bending.  I hate to ask them, but I would rather do that than aggravate the disc in there and herniate it again.  It seems really swollen and so if I take it easy, it will get better and go back where it should.

Hubby is doing a bit better, although, he still tires easily.  I'm just so thankful that he is doing better, though.  It's always a worry until things start to improve.

I need to straighten things up around here for the in-laws, so better get off her and get going.  I'll try and write more diligently in the future!
