Goats galore!

I've been terribly lazy these days, really working on survival mode here.  Five of our goats have kidded so far, giving us an increase of 8 females and 6 males.  Two more will kid next month.

I'm very please with the colors this year.  Our Nubian buck is blue / gray and white in color and a portion of the kids have his colors in dark and light variations.  One doeling is strickling pale and will be beauful, another is spotted black and white all over.  I know that this will please our local customers and I may keep  a doe or two...  We will also be able to sell a few "blue" bucks this year.

Other than that it's been sewing, sewing...  nurturing and admonishing the children, and trying to get everything done in one day; something I fail at quite often.

We are all trying to get our work done in a day. It can seem disparaging sometimes. I feel like I didn't get completed what I should have, but I'm done. Tomorrow I will just work a little harder (and eat a little less from Sunday dinner!).

Jocelyn, we've never had more than triplets, but I did hear of a Nubian having 5 kids! Poor mama!

I am feeling this sense of not getting much done myself. It is not a good feeling. If I make up a list to keep me on track, I find that I never complete a list. That is most discouraging, so I no longer make lists. But I am trying to get more routine into my life so that some chores don't need to be done daily or weekly, but rather I know what to expect so that the work comes easily. My next obstacle to conquer is our menu. I need something simpler and yet fulfilling for DH. I am out to find recipes that do this. Then I want to tag some of my busy days with regular menus, like Tuesday would be pasta night... knowing I might choose from three dishes we like and are quick to make up. Same side dishes, etc. Anyways, I'm hoping it will help ease my mind and give me time that was previously used for planning meals to do something else.
