Pillowcase Dress

Tonight I attempted to make a pillowcase dress for DD1. I love these dresses and have heard just how incredibly easy they are to make. I don't know if I would say it was incredibly easy or not. I had a really hard time with the armhole binding. I guess it is not bad for my first time! Practice makes perfect. Maybe another weekend I will tackle pantaloons to go with. It is really cute material, will be great to wear for any patriot event. It is navy blue with red and white sailboats.

I've never heard of a pillowcase dress before. That is so cute! I loved putting my girls in cute little dresses like that when they were little. Your little girl is a doll!

Blessings,
Carol

Last year, Dear daughter and I found some cute white cotton capris at a dollar store, we only put in casing about 5" above the scalloped seam and added elastic to make a semi homemade pair of pantaloons...it was GREAT! (They were $2) I added a bow to match the dress and it looked so store bought! Your dress is darling!
hugs!
