Hello blogger,

Is it just me or are there other people who think that it is ridiculous that people are offended by other people being saying Merry Christmas? This is my opinion on that........ Christmas is a Christian holiday, period. How did the whole Christmas holiday start?------------- The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, he was born in a stable in Bethlehem. People came from miles away to bring him gifts, and the wise men followed a star for miles just to see our Lord Jesus. How ridiculous it is that people are trying to take Christ out of Christmas, when Christmas all started because of Christ! Next time you go into a store, look how many things are Happy Holidays, and look how many of the decorations for Christmas are everything that DOESN'T have to do with Christ.

Now, in some stores they are not aloud to call Christmas trees, Christmas trees they can only call them family trees. I think that is wrong, a Christmas tree is a Christmas tree, it will always be a Christmas tree. Christ is Christmas and it will always be! and it is wrong that people try to change the meaning of Christmas.

Well now that I got that out of my system I will tell a few different things that have been going on around here lately.

Last night we got two an a half inches of snow! But in the morning it started raining, and it is pretty much slush. On Saturday the news says that we are suppose to get a good amount of snow, and it is supposed to stay for awhile!

Today I am at my aunts house, while my mom is working in town. I love my aunt sooooooo much, she is very nice, and fun to hang out with. My brother Jared came with me, and my aunt is babysitting here grandchild Hayden. Hayden is 7 months, and he is such a cutie!!!

I feel the same way about Christmas........ I do not say happy holidays or such...... this time of year is about Jesus and His birth and we should not feel embaressed about it! :)

There is an email alert group -- I believe it's American families, and they send me out emails about companies and business that are anti- christmas...... have been sending off a lot of emails to those stores who are not wishing to use the name Christmas!

What is happening -- the de-christianizing of our country! Very sad.

I agree with most of what you said, exept that you said that c.trees are part of christmas. my family does not use c.trees because they were the IDOL of the pagan holiday ( Many people still celabrate it, very saddening!! )
the tree was an idol that you ,when you were told to retrieve a gift of ( the idols name ) would bow down and say a prayer than you would take a gift.then you would say to the next person the same thing. so......other than the c.tree, and santa claus , I agree with you!

Yes! I agree w/ you! That's crazy for people to make you call a Christmas tree a "Family Tree." But a lot of our traditions do come from pagan rituals. Like the Easter Bunny. If I remember correctly, a rabbit was actually considered to be some kind of fertility god in some culture. I guess that's why they show him throwing out eggs that would hatch into chicks!

There's this clip on a branch of Way of the Master that adresses catalogs that say Happy Holidays or something of the sort. It's really good, Focus on the Family did that clip. Here's the link,

I agree with you. I mean, really, what is Christmas with out CHRIST? Santa is fake so really, CHRIStmas would have no meaning. I really enjoy your posts.

I don't know why people think they have to have EVERYTHING ANTI-God. It's WRONG.
People have been trying to change what God has done for years. Every nation has. It's not just Americans who do it.

Mom read us Jeremiah 10. The 2nd through fourth verses say this:

2Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

I don't think the Christmas tree has anything to do with Christmas. This chapter of Jeremiah tells us not to do what the heathens do, and adorn a tree (a tree!) with silver and gold, and put it up like an idol.

I don't know about presents either. I know that the Wise Men brought Jesus gifts, but He is the King of Heaven, and what are we? Just humans. We are all sinful, all filthy. We don't deserve to act the way the Wise Men acted to Jesus.

Mom said this was great for a Christmas post. This chapter of the Bible. It would be good to post around Christmas Day.

I am just voicing my opinions like you wanted. Check out that ENTIRE chapter Jeremiah. You will be amazed at it.

I agree with the verse from rachelsreasonings. I mean, of coarse we are not putting gold on it, but still, I dont like them. same as stockings. Ol' santy clause is coming down the chimeny to put presents in stockings I mean, imagine the poor children's hurt when suddenly they find out that the parents lied all that time!!
