My husband says:....

My husband and I just took the 1930 marital test.  I got a 91 and he got a 131!!.  But what is funny is what he just said, that if we were in the 1930's we would have never met .   I come from a well to do family and have a famous dad.   He is a man who's family is not a well to do family ,he's a country boy/man, or as he calls himself a "redneck boy" .  

It is so funny how things change.   I have changed  from when I was younger.   I am different and the same as to how I was brought up in many ways.  My husband has changed too.   He is the same and different from how he was brought up in so many ways too.

  I am glad that the times have changed, because I could have missed the man of my dreams, the love of my life, my husband.

Isn't it weird to imagine things differently and realize you may never have met if it weren't for the hands of God leading you together.

That's how it happened with hubby and I anyway. We grew up 13 miles apart, and 5 years apart. LOL I am 5 years older and would have never met him at any school functions because of this. And with 13 miles apart, we weren't in the same schools anyway. I was in the large town school and he was in an ajoininig town's smaller country type church. People from my town didn't talk to people from his town most of the time (with few exceptions) in highschool, because people from my town thought we were better than them. LOL

Fast forward several years later and he is visiting my church (25 miles away from me and 40 from him) that I had been attending for several years. He was with another girl, and when I met him, I didn't think a thing of him, because he was with her (a friend from my home town I hadn't had contact with in years). He was with her and her family ALL THE TIME and even though she said they were only friends, you could see he thought it was more! LOL

Then, for some reason, he got the whole picture one day, that she didn't want to be anything more than friends. Can you believe he chased her and followed her around like a lost puppy for 7 years and she never set him straight??? So, he didn't have any contact with her, but still was going to my church. He was in a play for our church with my dad and I talked to him behind the scenes one night and he spoke about how he was in his mid 20's and not married, and without a girlfriend. So I decided to set him up with my friend Jamie. LOL

Well, needless to say Jamie didn't want to date him and a few weeks later, we ended up going for hot cocoa after church together on Wednesday after church as friends. 9 weeks later he proposed. LOL And the rest.....as they say.........is history.
