Yesterday was my birthday, and I have to say I was
very spoiled this year!
My sweet children did all kinds of lovely things for me, and were so loving and thoughtful.
They made cards, coupons redeemable for back scratches and foot rubs
and tea, they made breakfast, and a cake! My sweetie took us to mexican
food (my favorite) for lunch- without, thank goodness that singing
business where they feed you fried icecream and all the employees sing
while you wear a sombrero. My family knows better!
I got so
many nice cards and gifts. Definately a "count your blessings day".
So...thanks to all of you who were so sweet to me.

Thanks for all my goodies and spoiling.

~Farm News~
We have a set of twin Boer bucklings. They are gorgeous and healthy.
I'd post pictures, but my camera is not working properly. I'll try
again tomorrow.
I'm getting plenty of eggs again, and have a
very handsome young rooster to admire now. thanks to our Pastor, he
knew I admired that rooster, and so he sent him home with us!
I am getting ready for a batch of meat chicks and a few turkeys and
maybe a goose or two. I have a butcher lamb coming in a couple months,
and with all those and my guys hunting, I should have a well stocked
freezer this winter. No grocery store meat! No hormones, antibiotics,
or other junk. That makes me very happy.
The flowers are coming up, the pasture is green and lush, and we are all well. Praise the Lord for the bounty and beauty!

I'm sitting here laughing because somehow I can just picture you in a sombrero eating fried ice-cream with a big smile on your face. Don't pass that opportunity up next year, it's you.
