Cheese Making is Easy! Try It!

Cheese making is something so many people want to try, and put it off because they are intimidated. I can relate! I armed myself with a couple of books and a cheesemaking video last year and actually made cheese lots of times! Let me tell you, fresh mozzarella is so tasty and you will never guess how easy! My top two favorite sites for instructions and info are: http://fiascofarm.com/dairy/index.htm
and The New England Cheesemaking Company: www.cheesemaking.com

If you use the information off the Fiasco Farm site and watch the video and read the booklets that come with it from The New England Cheesemaking Company, you will be very well on your way! You will dazzle your family and friends and at the same time feel good about giving them cheese that is fresh with no artificial colors, preservatives, etc. You can control the ingredients, and they are widely available on-line.

Making your own cheese is easy, inexpensive, and fun. This year I will be making alot of Feta. It is my very favorite and I love to put it on burgers, salad and pasta especially. I also want to share it with my friend's Tara and Kevin, 'cause they love it as much as I do!

I plan on teaching a cheese making course to our homeschool group, and the video I mentioned will be part of the class. It's a video that will make you totally confident- so get it if you can, and you won't be sorry.

~*~If you make cheese, please let me know how you do!~*~

I pray your feeling better.

Thank you SO much for your post, DH and I were just talking about goat/sheep milk and cheese. I'm anxious to try it, I'll let you know when Mrs. Goat has kids so the milk can begin. I still have to take pics. Everytime I go to do it, they run away. I go up to them everyday and they never run from me, but when they see that camera, forget it, they BOLT! I'll have to actually think if I want to take their picture. *sigh*

Get well soon.

God Bless,
Amber

Oohh I cannot WAIT for that first bite of fresh raw goat milk feta! mmmm :)

What a splendid idea to teach a class for our homeschool group. I think there are so many people out there that think homemade cheese is not even possible. Well, folks...it totally is!

I've never done the "hard" stuff (LOL) like Dalyn, but I have made fresh raw cream cheese and another soft, mild kind called fromage. Twas very easy, fun and satifying.
