So...I Have Just Got to Know...and a Picture of Cheese

Does anybody else sneak in a few dances in the barn? I mean, do you turn up the radio (I'm assuming everyone keeps a radio in the barn) and without your husband and kids there, just have fun and dance?
If you don't, you should try it. It freaks the animals WAY out!

This is a picture of my vinegar cheese. Look at a previous post for easy instructions. This one was mixed with a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing.
Tastey on crackers. Do you like my hook I installed underneath my cupboard in a corner? It's pretty handy, right over the counter. I set a bowl underneath to catch the whey that drains off. They whey is very good for making bread by the way. Or- dump it in your plants. I use it on my houseplants as well as my kitchen tomato and herb garden. That's another story...my kitchen garden is a swimming pool. The previous owners filled it with soil because their dog drowned in it.
That's more weird than me dancing in the barn.

2006-Feb-8 - Dancing

Well, I don't have a 'real barn' yet ... I don't have animals in the barn, I don't have a radio in the barn (but I have electricity in the building that will be MADE into a barn).

But I DID at one time, and I don't remember dancing, but I did sing and get strange looks! Dancing is something I'll have to consider WHEN .........

I just love all your the little clip art on your blog. I'm kinda new to blogging and I have no idea how to make my own page not using one of the standard templates that they offer. Could you give me some tips??

I don't have room to dance in the barn; don't know what the rabbits would think if I did. But I used to have a dog that would dance with me. She was a good dancer, too. And I dance in the house by myself sometimes, although I don't often listen to music. Lily, my springer, won't dance along; she just gets worried that I've lost my mind. Again!

I don't have a barn, but my kids have seen me dance at the drop of a hat. Usually, a couple of them join in (the younger ones). The older girls just roll their eyes.
That cheese sounds great. Your hanging bundle reminds me of when I used to make "yogurt" cream cheese by hanging a bundle of yogurt in cheesecloth on my faucet over the sink. By morning, all the whey had drained out and I had cream cheese. I ought to do that again.

I am thinking seriously about pygmy goats. Do you have any of those?

I think the baby goats like to hear me sing while I'm cleaning up in their little pen. That's fun too!

I'm sorry to say I have no gift for anything that requires logical thought- I do not do my own blog template. The bottom of my sidebar gives credit to Tara S. for it. The only thing I do is upload cute graphics or pics into my posts.

Now- on pygmy goats for Lisa. Nope. I think they are not cute. But...poeple are crossing them with Nubians and getting what they are calling Kinder goats. They are a little cuter, and small, but still good milkers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm sorry for those of you who aren't barn dwellers. Come on over to mine sometime!
Jessica my lovely,
you don't taste the vinegar. Especially if you add ranch mix, or chives, or bacon and chives! Yum. I wish I had more milk, I'd make some more cheese.
No com'on Jess, I know for sure you still like to dance around, even if it's in the living room and not a barn! We are ALL secret goofballs!
I am about 600 miles from my barn and it is probably falling down, but God is good and I can still dance in my trailer while I wait to get on land again.
Dalyn,
I am a goofball, I admit. That's why I love you so much! Besides the fact that you are so easy to love :) The cheese sounds wonderful. Wish I could have tea and crackers with ya!
