Personally, I think the whole bird flu
thing is a crock and contrived purposefully. This sounds crazy, but so
many "crisis" are created in my opinion to take more control FROM the
public and give it TO the government. Self-reliance of any sort is a
hindrance to control. If we are not helpless, we aren't quite yet ready
to be controlled if need be.
Think about this...are you able to
produce enough food w/o help for your family? Or- must you rely on a
grocery store? I admit, it's handy and I use them myself, but, it
scares me to think just what would happen if we couldn't just go shop
at the local grocery store. Can you take care of your family's basic
needs without a doctor? Really. I know lots of folks who go to the
doctor every time they have a sniffle or sore throat. They rely on the
doctor. They feel they are not capable of treating illness or injury.
We feel we are not capable of raising our own healthy food. Educating
our children. Building our own homes (without inspectors, permits, etc.)
Am I wrong? The problem is we are told we are not capable. Start paying
attention to the messages you get. I'm not saying I know just what to
do about it...'cause I don't! I grew up believing that stuff. It's only
recently that my husband and I starting thinking about all this.
So...who's got the answers? Do we just roll with it and accept and
comply when we have to register all our chickens with the state? What's
next? Just wondering.

Sounds paranoid, huh? Well, think about it.
2006-Jan-12 - I agree
Also, I always wondered why there was such intense reporting on a flu that has only killed about 60 people ( or so) worldwide. I am glad I am not the only one out there thinking about these things.
