The Lord Gave Us So Many Good Friends!
Wow- we have had a very full couple of weeks. It's been a great time! I got to have a picnic with Crystal Miller,
and finally meet her face to face! She's even more wonderful in
person, if that's even possible. I felt like we had been friends
forever. I remember about three and a half years ago, finding her
website, and with longing in my heart, emailing her to ask her how to
accomplish in my life what I saw in hers. She was so gracious to
me, and for the next couple years I gleened from her writings and my
life slowly starting looking more and mre like what I had wanted in my
heart. Glorious! Thank you for all your mothering and mentoring,
Crystal! You have really made a difference for me, and so many others I
know of.
I'm not going to post pictures of the picnic I think, as they look just like the ones on Crystal & Tara's blogs!
I
will post a picture of some of our dear friends, Casey & Joni. We
have had alot of fun with them, and have gotten so close we feel like
family. (maybe with all our kids, we will one day get to be real family!! Shhh! Keep prayin' Joni!)
Joni
and her children came Thursday, travelling 4 hours, with some other
friends from their church to stay the night. We all went to see
the Christian group, Accapella, courtesy of one of the guys in the
group. He sent us all tickets, because one of his friends from
highschool days, was staying at my home in orer to come to my city and
see the concert. The children got to get pictures and autographs
afterward, and talk to the guys. Those young men really love the Lord!
It was apparent in their conversations with us after the show, as well
as in their music. What a blessing this all was.
I
also had a great time discussing things of the Lord with Casey &
Joni's 15 year old son. What a guy! He loves Jesus, and is so mature,
it made my heart glad to have friends who homeschool their children and
raise them in the ways of the Lord to fellowship with our family. The
children all love each other, and get along great. I'm so encouraged to
be able to have the harder years of character training behind us and to
be able to enjoy the fruits of all that work now. When children are a
joy to be with, you know the Lord is blessing you!
Obedience
brings blessing, and fruitfulness. That principle is throughout the
Bible, and I'm testifying it's true! My children are a joy, and I have
experienced the children of friend's who are a joy as well.
So...it's
been a wonderful time! But ala...the goats are ready to give birth, and
I will be home most of the time from now on, for quite awhile.
