Wow! Okay my long-distance friend Catherine Love, here it is!
Nancy Campbell, and her family are so in love with Jesus, and so encouraging, that it's catchy! I had the best time! So did my
daughter!
Go read her blog! This is a picture of her and Selah at the retreat.
Selah is Nancy Campbell's adopted grand daughter from Liberia. I was
delighted for the girls to meet and get along, as I feel we are called
to those children in the Liberian orphanages. If you haven't heard
about the plight of those precious babies, check it out and at least
pray!
I
was completely given back my vision for my life and family and then ten
times more! Praise God! Nancy is a sweet, beautiful woman. She prayed
the most powerful, beautiful prayer for my husband and for my friend
Michelle. She prayed words that the Lord has told me in my spirit
several days before! I know the Holy Spirit was moving, because there's
no way she could have know to pray those things. I hadn't told anyone
but my husband!
I also had verse 7 of Isaiah 58 confirmed
yet again, and I am excited to know more details about this.
We saw a gorgeous rainbow in the sky on the way home, going through the
mountain pass, which confirmed to us all that God had done a new thing!
A whilde back the Lord had spoke to my heart about my past, family,
future, and mission as a mother. I am the first woman in my family to
NOT be divorced in many generations; over a hundred years! The Lord has
given me His heart on some things pertaining to this, and they are in
Isaiah 58:6-14
@@@@@@
I
squirreled away grocery money for months to buy resources at this
retreat, and I'm glad I did. I got lots of books and CD sets. The
messages are so incredible, and straight from God's Word. I love all
the word studies she does in her Bible study, as I do it the same
way.
If you don't get the magazine or weekly encouraging email, I suggest you sign up! www.aboverubies.org
I will have an article published in the next magazine, or perhaps the
one after. It's long, but she is trying to fit it in the next issue!
I'm so grateful the Lord would take all my garbage and use it for
"Spritual Compost" to help "fertilize" other believers. He is truly a
good and gracious King.

~~On the Farm~~
On the farm, we have a duck that hatched out 13 ducklings. They take
their daily swim behind the barn where there is a large puddle almost
the size of a little pond. There are new chicks being kept warm in my
sunroom. (this is a yearly event. Ugh.) My pastor has come and started
the chicken coop, and boy is it nice! He is THE greatest guy! My
husband is finishing it.
"PROVERBS 31 KISSIN' KATE" is my
yearling doe from last year, and I am now sure she is pregnant. She got
a little udder yesterday! I am so excited it's not even funny. These
goats have truly been a pleasure and a delight on so many levels.
I have two bronze turkey chicks for pets, and will get the white
variety for eating next week. Also I will get about 25 meat chickens. I
plan on having all our own meat by this early winter. If my husband
bags a deer or two, and an elk, we will be doing great. His buddy got a
nice Rio Grande wild turkey the other day, and I'm hoping he will be
able to get one too.
2006-May-12 - Thanks
Yea for the ducklings and the chicken coop, too. 'Bout time the Queen got a coop! LOL! I'll be looking for your upcoming article in Above Rubies- I love that magazine. That's where I got the recipe for spinach smoothies- or "Green 2 Go" as they called them- yummy :)
