| It's been a bit since I have been here. So much has happened! I shared about our Bloomin Time! and in that was a collage of some blooms that had been around our homestead. I asked some questions about the blooms and here are the answers! Do you know the names of those flowers? The names of the flowers are:  Sunflower
The sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is an annual plant in the family Asteraceae and native to the Americas, with a large flowering head (inflorescence). The stem can grow as high as 3 metres, and the flower head can reach 30 cm in diameter with the "large" seeds. The term "sunflower" is also used to refer to all plants of the genus Helianthus, many of which are perennial plants.  Petunia The origin of P. x hybrida is thought to be by hybridization between P. axillaris (the large white or night-scented petunia) and P. integrifolia (the violet-flowered petunia). P. axillaris bears night-fragrant, buff-white blossoms with long, thin tubes and somewhat flattened openings.  Daylily These plants are perennial. The name Hemerocallis comes from the Greek words ἡμέρα (hēmera) "day" and καλός (kalos) "beautiful". The flowers of most species open at sunrise and wither at sunset, possibly replaced by another one on the same stem the next day. Some species are night-blooming. Daylilies are not commonly used as cut flowers for formal flower arranging, yet they make good cut flowers otherwise as new flowers continue to open on cut stems over several days.  Black Eyed Susans Rudbeckia hirta is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is an upright annual (sometimes biennial or perennial) native to most of North America, and is one of a number of plants with the common name Black-eyed Susan that also has purple on the side. One of them is my Mama's favorite, one of them is my favorite, one of them is just a wildflower, and one of them was planted. Mama's favorite is: Black Eyed Susans My favorite is: Daylily Wildflower: Sunflower Planted: Petunia Aren't those great flowers? I sure love them and will be sad when summer is over and the leaves and snow fall!

Blossoming Anew
| Yes, things around here are blossoming! How do you like my new template? The header is from a blossoming tree in our yard. I do not know what its called. In the spring it has the most beautiful blossoms on it though and last spring I took day by day pictures of the blossoms. I will be sharing those soon. I changed some of the brightness because I know it was hard on the eyes. I did leave in a little bit of bright colors, because they are my favorite! :) I also made a graphic to link back here. You can grab it and display it proudly on your blog if you want!  Email me for code! I also changed my title a bit. It was "My Learning Experience", I changed it to "It's A Learning Experience". Our daily lives are experiences we can learn from. Everyday God shows us something that we need to learn. I want to make very day a learning experience for myself and my future children. I want them to know that as we live our everyday life, we learn from everything we do. We can learn from triumphs, mistakes, accidents, consequence, actions, everything! We must take what we have learned and apply it to our lives, so that we may be better able to serve Christ in everything and set an amazing example of His love for everyone to see! Happy Birthday, Dear Jocelyn!
My dearest sister, Jocelyn, HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY, DEARY! I hope you have the most terrific day ever. I hope your *real* birthday party is over and beyond what you expect! You are THE best and most wonderful in my life. Every time I am starting down a road I shouldn't be going, you are there to point me back to the right road. You are my guardian angel and I THANK GOD for you everyday.

Here is your cake. I hope you enjoy it. It looks a whole lot better than the cake that I am going to make for you. I thought this cake was purdy awesome!
There is so much I wanted to get you for your birthday: stationary, clothing, Medieval dresses, friends coming out to visit. Anything you need or want, I wish I could get you. I hope that what I do get you love. There is so many surprises for your birthday that I can't wait for you to see! I love you, Jocelyn, and I hope you never forget this birthday! Cowboy Caleb
 Here is Cal-Eb with Western DVD set mentioned in Feelin' Guilty He loves these movies. I plan on getting him a cowboy hat, gun holister, and boots when I go to town this week. You should see him run up and down the house like he is riding a horse. Sheesh... you would think that since he does that most of the day that he would be tired at nite... go to bed early. Man, that boy is chocked full of energy! One nite last week he was up super late and would just not go to sleep...  well I grabbed his dvds and had him show them to me... then he watched them and finally fell asleep! I went to bed before he did, so I missed getting a picture of him sleeping...Isn't he "just so gosh darn good lookin'?", as Willy Wonka would say. :D He is so sweet... He is my Cal-Eb Superman! He so loves cowboys! He talks about riding a horse. Riding Buttermilk and Trigger and Silver and Buckskin specifically. hahaha... what a cutie!
