WV Here We Come?

I've officially lost track now of how many times we've moved back and forth from Michigan to West Virginia.  I *think* we've moved to WV 3 times and to MI 4 times since 2002.  It's no wonder it's all a blur!

Well, it looks like we're about to make a 4th move back to WV.  I hope this will be our last move.  I LOVE West Virginia and our home there.  Other than Alaska and Ireland, I think WV is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I've been living in limbo for months not knowing whether or not we were staying or going.  I'll be so glad when this is all said and done.

Well, I should be a moving expert by now...having moved our family of eight so many times.  I've been on a drive for years to keep a very simple, uncluttered house; and moving so often has had the benefit of being able to re-evaluate (almost on a yearly basis!) the value of all our worldly belongings.  I thought we were pared down to our bare minimum, but I find that there are still things I'd like to get rid of.  So, here we go again.

The only disappointing part of a potential move at this point is that I've waited all winter (how dreadfully long!) to begin spring planting and such.  Now, I'll most likely get a much later start.  I'll be hauling some raspberries, seed potatoes, some Knockout Roses and a box of seeds with me.  No matter though, I'll be so glad to get back to our WV home.

Oh, did I mention that every time we've moved to WV it's been to the same house?  Yep, we're definitely loco and most likely going through a mid-life crisis!

Blessings, Tracie

Welcome to wild, wonderful, West Virginia. You couldnt have told me when I was a child that WV was pretty. We travelled all the way from NY to KY and spent 1/3 of the trip in WV. But now I have come to appreciate its beauty, although I still think I would prefer to live in KY...but that is where my family is! Hope you have a safe trip.

Hi Tracie,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog! It is beautiful here in Northern Ireland, lots of green, especially where I live, lots of sheep and cows around to look at! I don't know much about how homeschooling works here, I do have a few friends who do, and I am getting plenty of information from them. One has always homeschooled, another is more like me, she had her kids in school first and then decided to homeschool.
We have not made any definate decisions yet, but I have to admit we are leaning more towards homeschool. I love your blog and hope we can become 'virtual' friends!
Karen.
