• Thursday, May 8, 2008 - Quilting

I am not getting much sewing time but did manage a few jar blocks. I am going to make bug jars next for a quilt for one of the boys:) I have a lot of insect material from swapping with people in my quilting groups. I am hoping to make a food jar quilt too.

My list of sewing projects is growing!! Today is raining so I may get a little bit of time to sew. This weekend we are putting the garden in so that will take the extra time up with weeding, picking, canning to provide an awesome winter harvest :)

I have the pattern for that as well. All I've done with it is cut out the "jars." I still have to finish a different quilt top (one that I started way back in 2000) and then quilt it and another one. Maybe afterward I'll finally pull those jars back out and work on mine. Thanks for the inspiration!

Now that is a cool pattern...wish I could sew...but can't sit still long enough to try.

Adorable. I have some insect type material as well and would love to make a jar quilt with them. Can you share the pattern???

How cute! New ideas are so much fun! I just love your blog:-)
Thanks for the gardening ideas. I'm going to plant some squash for fun and see what we end up with!
At the restaurant, you get rice on one side of the plate, then the beans on the other side. In the middle is a bed of shredded lettuce with chipotle sauce and salsa. The rice is a spanish rice type of thing. I'm working on a cost analysis and I'll post that for the beans. If I have it figured correctly, it's under .15 cents per serving! I'll let you know.
Have a super day,
Tan
