What a wonderful week!! God is so good!!

Hello Friends,

What a wonderful week! As I sit and pray and thank the Lord for all He is doing....I sit amazed at His blessings!

We had a slow business week...but we know in time if it is the Lord's will...all will come in His timing. He is sovereign. So I am content in Him.

But the amazing thing was after being sick from before the opening until this week, I began to get well!. I had a terrible chest cold I just couldn't throw. I was extremely fatigued and couldn't sleep enough on my off times. It was terrible in beginning a new venture and not being able to focus well and feel as if I had a hold on what was taking place.

But as the week wore on this last week clarity came!

God is so good!!! I could finish the computer entries for inventory. I could see what needed to be changed and begin my list of todo's with confidence of what the Lord was showing me/us. I could see the next projects of sewing. I could go to a local business owners breakfast and see the Lord's plans for us in the community. I could see the lights turn on within the family as to our beginning to understand the Lord's plans for our family!!

We held our first Chess night and it was so much fun!! Though I do not play the rest of the family does. We had children, highschool and college students and adults!! What a blessing!! We learned how to serve as a family. Our oldest daughter didn't play but worked on warping a loom. And I finished tagging warp and some of my photography!! It was amazing to have time to focus, work and most of all meet new people in our town. We had prayed we would be a light for Christ and we pray we would continue to be.

We prayed to have a servant's heart and continue to...we ask you all pray for our hearts to serve those in our town and share our love of Christ as He sees fit! We pray for wisdom and the steps we need to take in our walks with the Lord, our family, our homestead/home, our homeschooling and finally our business. We pray that all we do honors and glorifies the Lord.

Now, we want to say thank you to all who have been so encouraging and thank those who are standing in prayer with us. Your prayers are invaluable in our efforts to serve the Lord in this fashion. Satan does try to hurl his darts at us, but most importantly we know the Lord is Lord of all and we seek to be in His will and serve Him.

May the Lord bless each of you and your families this next week. May each of you seek His will and serve Him with your whole hearts. May He guide you in His will in your lives....God's will be done, Amen.

The Lord's blessings,

Kris M. and  family

Business Today

Hello Friends,

Today was my day to try to catch up with the business end of it all.

I worked on not only the store finances but also our family's.

There are always many things to be done, but the priorities of life have truly come into focus.

The Lord is helping me to now realign my priorities. For a season we were spending an incredible amount of time getting the inventory ready, building, sewing and setting up the store.

Now it is time to get our home in order as well.

So finances and laundry were the order of the day.

Next it is making our study more comfortable for us as a family.

And finally as our oldest daughter continues work in her outrageously large garden...my canning work will begin soon! With our stove and oven out, we have to figure out how to use a hotplate to can....or we will be outside over the open fire!

Wow, a true homesteader delimma!

We are blessed to have this opportunity.

May the Lord bless each one of you in your home and homestead,

Kris M.

Tuesday's Computer Day

Hello Friends,

I have determined that one day a week will be my designated "computer day".

This is a bit of a laugh as I seem to be on this every day. I try to not be...but we live in a world of computer technology that seems to be irresistible.

I do love writing friends, meeting friends and working with our customers. It has been wonderful to communicate what we do and help those with their different needs. I am humbled.

The other laugh is I am the least computer literate person I know! I seem to work and work to get a little done. I thank the Lord for the ability to do what I can. And knowing all the while, it is through His strength that things are getting done. I am amazed!

Well, back to the grindstone...... I have a long "to do" list that is not getting shorter. Uh oh, my son just came in and said the deep freeze isn't freezing. Yikes! I just went to Sam's!

Oh well...tomorrow may be this weeks "computer day"....oh no.....we will be in the city....maybe Friday?

The Lord's blessings,

K
