Farewell Summer!
I'm sorry I haven't updated this for this week's carnival! I've had a few hosts cancel so I'm a bit behind and then this week we found out a dear friend lost their 3yo (Please Pray For DrewsFamilyTX) so I haven't had a clear head. I hope you will take a minute though to check out the homesteading carnival. Amy @ SimplyFolk did a lovely job as always!
I am pleased to host this week's Carnival of Homesteading. I'm calling this one the "Beginning the Farewell to Summer Edition" as we are going back to school and about to welcome the harvest season....The Carnival of Homesteading #62
And, I'm still waiting for a reply for next week's host, but I do hope I will hear from them soon and I hope you will submit something!

Homeschool Memoirs 2008-09 Beginning!
From Sprittbee:
There's a brand new meme at the HSBA. Last week we started the Blogger Classmates meme and it was just too similar to the Blogger Friend School. Rather than confuse or divide, the team at the HSBA worked hard the last two days to bring a brand new meme to the table.
The new HSBA meme is called "Homeschool Memoirs"... and it will be a themed meme that will change each week and offer participants a way to keep a little homeschool journal for 2008-9. Not only that, but the meme aspires to bring you a linky each week with lots of great reading - a linky you can sign each week when your themed post is up! We hope this meme will bring homeschool mamas together and allow them to glimpse into each other's lives and connect us together.
If you haven't signed up, click over and add the graphic to your sidebar. The HSBA has provided a quick html code for you (or you can snag it from my sidebar here). Hope to see you at the HSBA as we share our hearts together this school year!
The next theme will be posted on Wednesday so you still have time to do the first one and join us!

Bringing Home the Bull
Welcome to the 61st Homesteading Carnival - Bringing Home the Bull! This might seem like an odd title, but we were busy yesterday driving, selecting, loading, unloading etc. our new bull.
KeriMae is scheduled to host next week and I hope you will join us once again! |

Harvesting & Drying Stevia
I found anew blog that I really like... well she found me, but I still really like all the neat, homemaking, homesteading posts she has on there. One caught my eye in particular because after posting about making Honey Lemonade I got a lot of responses on stevia. I had never heard of Stevia before then, but apparently a lot of people have. Miss Mia shows you how she grew, dried, and, stored it away for later. Really neat!

The NEW Feelin' Feminine Site
I mentioned in my last Feelin’ Feminine post that I was working on a special project to encourage, inspire, and challenge young ladies to be femininely modest, and I’m proud to announce my project is finally complete. I’m proud to announce the NEW Feelin’ Feminine site, and I welcome you all to check it out! I pray that the Lord will bless your visit to the site and speak to your heart in more ways than one.
I’ve made new icons and a banner as well to match the site better. Please let me know what you think. You can leave your “review” of the site by viewing the first entry. Then there is also the Petition page (Please sign your name to that), the blogroll, and I put a feedburner on there if you would like to get email updates when anything is posted on the site.
There is much more I would like to add to this site, but I have the foundation laid and I hope you will help build on it. You’re welcome to send any articles (on modesty, femininity, role of the Biblical Woman, etc) or photos to Feelin’ Feminine to be consider for publishing on the site. For more information please go here to do so. I want this to be a resource site for all ladies to be encouraged, inspired, and challenge in their modesty and femininity.
I am also having some FFC cards made if you would like me to send you any to give out to your friends, place at your church, coffee shops, library, homeschool co-op, etc. Spread the word!
I’m inviting young ladies and women, but also gentlemen. I know this is a “weird” topic for guys to talk about, but I think it is very important for the guys to have a formed an opinion on this matter just as much as ladies. The reason being because you will have wives and daughters to protect and care for, and you’ll need to know where you stand on the issue of femininity and modesty. You will also have to set an example of modesty for your children, sons and daughters alike.

So please stop by the site, leave a review, sign the petition, add your email to the update list, and announce it on your site! Those who were on the blogroll got a sneak peek, so if you’d like to know “what’s happening” first with the site, get on the blogroll!
Blessings!
