Well, we've been waiting and waiting and no chicks so far. We keep hoping so they are still in the incubator. I knew this would be a test of patience for our family!! To be honest, I told a friend today that it has reminded me of all those years of dealing with infertility. Eventually, I just gave up and said to myself if I ever get pregnant all the glory will go to the Lord and that is what HE wants anyway. Well, I did get pregnant after 10 yrs. of waiting and waiting and I give HIM the glory!!

Well, today was the first day my little girl has played a sport. We are doing soccer at our local YMCA. We are so blessed to have a local preacher be in charge of our teams!! Tonight, after practice, he got us all in a circle and had the kids repeat things about respect then he said for the kids to respect God and then he prayed and thanked Jesus for the YMCA and the christian principals it stands firm on. What a memorable moment for all of us to take with us throught out our lives!!

O.k. my sweet hubby helped me figure out how to put a pic. inside of an entry this morning!! So, go back to my "chick" entry and you will see my 9 yr. old girl holding one of our chick eggs. Also click on "photo album" and you will see pics of our log cabin about a year ago. Now, if only I can do this again when the time comes to post more pics!!

Today, a friend brought over our incubator and a dozen fertilized eggs for us to watch hatch. This is our first time at doing this. It is thru our county ext. office. My little girl (9) was disappointed when she found out that we are just doing the embryology project which is free. She wants to pet them!! We have to give them back once they hatch. I got a feeling this is going to teach our family patience!!

I'm so glad it still looks like winter around where I live in S.C. I love to look up at a blue sky this time of year and see tall trees in our woods not budding yet. I want to enjoy every minute I can because I know the heat is coming!! We've been busy with church stuff mostly. This is my first year being a Sunday School teacher!! I teach 4th and 5th graders. I'm learning so much about the Bible. I had a great Sunday School teacher when I was young and she is still living. Not to long ago, I was looking up churches that I have been apart of in my last 20 yrs. of marriage. I happen to find the church where my old Sunday School teacher goes and there are pictures of her on their website. I wonder if she will ever know how she impacted my life to live a life for the Lord!! Wonderful childhood memories.

Well, it's in the middle of the night and I can't sleep!! I fixed a breakfast meal for supper which included my favorite breakfast drink....coffee and it wasn't decaf!! So, I'm in the blogging world tonight I guess. I hear it is going to get cold and windy in our neck of the woods tomorrow. We have a busy day with Meals on Wheels, field trip to a near by forest, and Kidmo at church. I hope little one can do all of it!! Tomorrow will be our first time doing Meals on Wheels alone. What a wonderful community service that is!! A few of us homeschool families are doing it on the same day but delivering to different people. We get to see each other when we go to the hospital and pick the meals up. Well, I better get on to sleep.

All is quiet at the moment in our house in the woods. I'm enjoying a little quiet time before church. It's cloudy here this morning which I love. I'm still hoping for one more snow!! I've not blogged lately due to hubby trying to get his office set up downstairs. I am so hoping this week to get organized with some office stuff, homeschooling stuff, home and the rest of my life!! I pray for a restful Lord's day for everyone today. I've started a Bible study at church on Sunday nights so after lunch I start reading that and getting caught up---I want to do better with that like do it everyday like you're suppose to not bulk it up and cram!!

Well we enjoyed the cooler weather today that is for sure!! We had a fire in our woodstove most of the day!! We got our school work done. Hubby is working from home now so we are ALL adjusting to this new thing of him being home. It is going to be worth it though. I hope ya'll will be able to view a picture I put in my profile of our lab/mix--Chubby. He's about 1 1/2 yrs. old now. Now that hubby has been home we sure have been spoiling him like crazy like letting his 100 pd. self get on our waterbed!! HE loves it!! He gets up there and starts snoring immediatley so we won't put him outside!! Have a good sleep!!

It was a windy day in our neck of the woods!! I completed my log for the "National Bird Count" today. I enjoyed doing that. We are in the woods so without feeders out I don't really see a lot of birds. We have 3 cats and a 1 yr. old lab/mix so I haven't tackled that yet!!
I'm thankful for cooler weather ahead tonight and tomorrow. We have a woodstove that we love to use. I hope tomorrow and the night time we will.
I hope to get the picture thing figured out soon. I have enjoyed looking at others.

What a great way to end the day....rain. We just got thru watching Little House on the Prairie. It was such a great episode on sign language. A man and his son did the entire Lord's Prayer in sign language. I would love to learn that!! I can't believe how some of those old episodes had God in them!! It was a great day at church also. Just when I get lazy and not want to go, I get blessed everytime!!
