De-Cluttering Week One: Bathrooms

Seems it is de-cluttering time for a lot of people. FlyLady says to de-clutter BEFORE you clean. You can't organize clutter!

So in preparation for 'Spring Cleaning' (which I really do look forward to!) I am going to stat de-cluttering room by room. Starting today I am decluttering a room a week, going by FlyLady's Zones. This week is the main bathroom and laundry room. I started by going through our medicines and discarding expired meds.

Hopefully I will have time today to finish the bathroom, and de-clutter my sons bathroom. I do not need to de-clutter my laundry room because since it is brand new and doesn't have cupboards or shelves yet I haven't been able to clutter it up!

I will try and post pics of my progress.

TODAYS TO DO LIST:

- Homeschool

- Wash bedding

- De-clutter 2 Bathrooms

- Kelly's Cleaning Mission for the day (FlyLady) which is to clean behind the toilets

- Prepare dinner (pork chop & rice casserole)

- Attend our homeschool support groups 'Mom's Night Out'

I really need to get started, but...

As you see, I did not make it to MNO...I was doing laundry until almost 6 pm and no dinner on the table!

I am going to start de-cluttering tomorrow AM (I am babysitting Klara (Loren and Lex's baby)...but she's easy at this age (I hope).

Marla is on target when she says you can't clean until you declutter. Hope you get all your clutter OUT of your house. =)

I cleaned out one of my kitchen cabinets. The canned goods one.
It really didn't take but a few minutes and I felt so accomplished and I can now see what I've got in the cupboard so I can use it! Happy decluttering:)
