Blessings From Home | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Friday From HomeThe day is nearing an end. My two youngest children are already in bed. My son is up spending some quality time with his dad, but my girls are always ready for bed early. We had a nice quiet day at home and I enjoyed it so much. The weather was so beautiful today. My day was spent caring for things around my home, finishing up the dress for my daughter, and taking care of my beautiful blessings. I didn't get to everything that I needed to, but tomorrow is another day. Cleaning house always takes a backseat to special time with my children. Did you guys notice I figured out how to put one of those music players on my page? I was so excited! I actually copied the song off of Jewels Blog, I hope she didn't mind, but the song just gave me such peace when I listened to it....and I'm sure that's why she chose it. I spent some time planning for next week's school, but have a bit more work to do to be all ready. So far my plans for tomorrow are to just spend the day finishing up things at home. I need to finish my unfinished to do list, I have laundry to finish up, I have managed to save back 6 bananas to make some banana nut bread tomorrow. I will probably also be making some regular bread, some muffins, and probably some cookies just for good measure. Some will be eaten up by the many hungry little tummies around here and hopefully some will be saved for the freezer for later. I need to figure out what my next sewing project will be since I finally finished my daughter's dress. I may go ahead and make some bloomers for her to wear with her new dress. I think I need to make a list of things I need to make and put them in order of priority, as well as a list of handiwork such as crocheting and embroidery, etc. Dinner tonight was a favorite fall food of ours and it's so easy. We call it chili beans, and I usually make cornbread to go with it or corn casserole, but we ended up just having crackers with it and a side of fruit. Here's the recipe... Chili beans 1 pound of ground beef or turkey 1 can of ranch style beans 1 can of stewed tomatoes Season and brown your meat and add your beans and tomatoes and heat through. And that's it! This is a very versatile recipe because you can pretty much add whatever you want to. Italian stewed tomatoes or even a can of corn if you like. Tonight I was short on hamburger, so I just used one pound of hamburger and 2 cans each of beans and tomatoes and it was just as good. Well, that was my day. I am headed for a quick shower and then to bed. I pray your day was amazingly blessed and that you have an abundantly blessed weekend!
