Frugal Friday

Well, now that I'm a homeschooling mom, I decided to devote this Frugal Friday to free or inexpensive homeschool resources I have found on the web.

TLS Books - a great place for free worksheets for your preschooler through fifth grade

Old Fashioned Education - a complete curriculum all for free, this is the main resource we will be using

SF Reading  - a free online grammer and handwriting workbook

Life. On a Budget - a blog with lots of great info on free resources for homeschoolers

Enchanted Learning -this is a great website that does require a membership fee, but $20 for a whole year with all the resources they have is well worth it.

The Homeschool Mom -I haven't got to check this website out completely, but what I've found so far has looked very interesting. She has several free unit studies. One note: It appears you have to scroll all the way down to see all the info.

And that's about all I've found....so far. If you have another resource you'd like to share I'd love to see it. My husband and I will be homeschooling on a slim to none budget. So I'm looking for all the freebies and cheapies I can get. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks to Andrea over at Meek and Quiet Spirit. She gave me two more really great resources. And here they are...

Brightly Beaming Resources

Donna Young

And I also found a few more...

ABC Teach

The math work sheet site

I am so sorry

Ok, I just feel awful that I somehow have missed all that is happening with you. I have been so busy that I haven't been able to keep up with all the blogs I want to lately. Anyway, I am sorry you had to deal with all the dr, family and teacher attitude. I am also sorry your son has been so upset and sick lately. I am very thankful that your dh is allowing you to at least try homeschooling. If you have any questions about it, you can always ask me. I don't spend alot of money on our homeschooling, I don't think it is necessary. I am also big on making sure the kids are enjoying it.
Blessings to you,
Rashel

~Thank you Rashel, You are so sweet! I don't think any of us have the time that we'd like to have to sit here and visit all these wonderful blogs, but we get to them when we have time. I could sit here for hours on end if I allowed myself too, but I have to keep my priorities straight. I am so excited about our new venture and can't wait to share it and discuss it with all of you ladies.

Blessings,
Sara

I found you through the Biblical Womanhood Frugal Friday links, so I'm not sure what age your child is. You might want to take a look at http://homeschooling.livejournal.com People have been posting links to a lot of free resources in the past week or so. And here's one I keep meaning to post: http://nps.gov/plants, under the "Celebrating Wildflowers" section, has links to online coloring books with botanical diagrams and specific flowers.

~Thanks so much, I'll have to check that out! My son just turned 7. There's so many cool things out there, like this very subject that I think that my son will enjoy learning, but I will too.

Thanks again,
Sara
