Blessings From Home

June Already?

Wow, I can't believe we're already in the month of June. Time is really flying by here. The weather is so mild here in Oklahoma compared to all the past years I remember. By this time, we're usually suffering in the 90's but I don't think we've even hit 90 degree weather yet, in fact we're just now in the 80's. Except for the humidity from all the rain, it has been absolutely beautiful. Things are finally beginning to settle down from all the hustle and bustle of the school year. We will be having t-ball games through the end of the month which will keep us a bit busy, but nothing too major. I have decided to officially start our summer homeschooling session on Monday. We'll be doing our Bible stories, devotionals and hymns, and for my 5 year old who is anxious to read, I have decided to start working with her on her reading skills and my son will be continuing his reading with a few books I have selected. For my 2 year old, I am going to start working with her on her shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, and also teaching her to sit still during Bible time. We'll also be visiting the library once a week to check books out and learn about how it works.  I have some prepwork to get done before then, so I will be doing that today, which means a trip to the library today since my printer is broken. I also need to go to the bank and to pay a couple of bills as I did not get to run my errands yesterday. A few other things I would like to get done today is...make some peanut butter granola and some granola bars, make some muffins, make a couple loafs of bread, clean out my car, my purse, and the diaper bag, file some of the papers away from the week, pet care (clean out cat bowls and fish tank), finish up laundry for the week, and clean out the laundry room. I guess that's about it. Well, I better get off of here and get busy.
