Thursday's Thoughts

Today we are at home, which is a nice change of pace for me here lately. It seems we are always on the go. I'm finally going to attempt to finish painting the kitchen cabinets. I've been putting it off for several days, but am ready to get it done.

We have a busy weekend ahead. Today is painting, tomorrow will be spent in preperation for the weekend because we are having a yard sale on Saturday, and then a big family dinner on Sunday. All that and I hope to start our official homeschool year on Monday, so I need to make sure I'm ready for that.

It seems my list of things to do could go on for miles, but I've given up on killing myself to get everything done and just doing what I can.

I'm hoping to be able to go to a few yard sales myself over the weekend or maybe over the next few weekends, because we have decided to get a baby bed. We have a  pack n play and it is very handy, but for when the new little one gets a bit bigger, it is nice to have a crib. But I won't buy one that's going to cost a fortune. Before we had my old crib, but it's falling apart and I don't think it's safe anymore.

As for how the pregnancy is going, I'm finally past the halfway mark, and this little boy is an active one. Some days I feel like he's going to knock me over as hard as he kicks. I'm hoping things will continue to settle down over the coming weeks and I can start sewing on his diapers and other things we need.

Well, back to work for me. I was just taking a quick break. Can't wait to be done with that kitchen. It will be a couple more weeks before I can say we are officially done because father in law and hubby will be putting down the new floor in a couple of weekends. But then, Lord willing we will be done. XXfingers crossedXX
