SNOWBALLING
SNOWBALLING
The snow, the snow, the fairy snow, the pure white falling snow!
How pulses leap and hearts beat high, and cheeks with color glow,
To throw the soft white balls about, with shouts of happy glee;
And mirth and mischief, hand in hand, show friendly rivalry.
The snow, the snow, the glorious snow, in thick flakes showering down,
The city roofs, the country trees, with fair white wreaths to crown;
As falls from heaven the feathery shower upon the earth below,
How many youthful tongues exclaim, "Oh, welcome back the snow!"
I do not know the author. I saw others here with poetry, bible verses and short stories so I wanted to do that too.Call me copy cat.
I have realized that I was too eager to make new friends and in doing so I have caused some to anger. I am too open with my feelings of love for all man kind, here, I guess.
I hope you enjoy the poem, it might help us to appreciate the snow, If we get any.

Lovely pictures this poem brings up. Here in Texas snow is an oddity. But I do love the snow.

Oh I love snow...don't get much....but still love it. Mom used to make "snow cream" for us as children. It tasted better than ice cream!
