Monday on the Homestead

It's been a pretty busy day, starting with a cold 10F this morning. We got up and had chores done fairly quickly, moving straight into school work. We had a Brownie meeting right after lunch (the local schools are out today for a fall break) and then came home to rest and finish our day. Our one (and only) radio station is having a free concert tonight with John David Webster. We are very excited about going!

Tonight for dinner I am trying a sourdough (with my new started!) apple bread. If it turns out, I'll copy the recipe later this week. Dinner tonight along with the bread is ham and cheese quiche, butterbeans and a peach blueberry crisp.

Hope you've had a joyous Monday!
Natalie

What are your Brownies like in Alaska? I help with the Guides here and Amy is in the Rainbows.

Brownies are a part of Girl Scouts (the second level) much like your Guides. We have just a few girls who work on patches for their vests and meet for fun and games. It's really informal for our group, but the girls seem to enjoy it! How about your daughter?
