It is Wayyyyy to COLD!!!!!!!! (and update)

Oh my heavens is it just horribly cold here! We went from 33* weather on Sunday, to 52* Monday (yesterday) and now today it is was 5* by 9am today and by noon the winds had picked up to be a whopping 50 MPH winds and a deathly chill!  They are talking more snow, but they canceled things here just due the freezing temps and wind gusts, the snow has not even started yet!

Well I am certainly behind here as we have been quite busy around here and have had plenty of excitement.  My husband was off on Friday so we ran to town to get his check, run errands, get feed for the goats and groceries for us.  We did very well and got some great buys on bulk meat that I was able to package into individual freezer bags for meals and I was surprised just how much I got out of it really.  :-) Saturday we did things around the homestead and I continued to work on getting my house straightened up and organized.  Later that afternoon we dropped off the kids at our older daughters house so we could go out for a Movie and birthday dinner with my brother and his wife for her birthday.  We went to go see the "National Treasure" movie.  It was the first movie we had seen in the theaters in over 6 years!  LOL!  :-)  After the movie we went for a steak dinner and we really had a good time.

Sunday we stayed home from church as we had much to do around here again as our septic was acting up again!  UUGGHH! :-(  After my husband and son had taken a load to the storage garage and brought back my antique rocker from the old house, my husband had to go back into town again and purchase a drain snake................but it didn't help at all and made matters worse!  I was busy working around the house again and did get my dinning room ALL DONE!!!  Praise Jesus!  :-)  I was so proud of myself.  I also had a pork roast cooking for a special Sunday dinner as my step daughter Ashley and her littel girl were coming for dinner.  After dinner we played UNO and had alot of fun!  The time got away from us and it was nearly 10:00pm by the time they left.

Monday my husband took off work as we were blessed with 53* temps and had to get more moved out of our old house and to the storage garage.  He also was trying to fiddle with the septic some more and we ended up having to have a company come out and pump our septic out.  UUGGHH!  Talk about a nightmare!  My husbands Uncle had hand dug the septic and put it in himself in the early 70's.................we are sure that it had probably never been pumped our before.  We are just greatful that we had the warmer weather to do this as it is North Pole weather here today!  :-(  We had suffered with this problem for over 2 months now.  We are just praying that it is completely fixed now!  :-)  Over $300.00 later.....................UUGGHH!
