BBBBRRR!!!! BBBR! BBBBBRRRRRRRR! :-(
Well it is a whopping -12* out there, and that is not counting the wind chill!!!! Did I say BBBRRRR?! LOL! :-) My dear sweet man was made to work again today. The van has been acting up and our heater does not work well in it, so I am not taking the kids out in this today without Kerry with me, so we will be homechurching today. I am actually looking fwd to it. I too, like Kim always try and play a Veggie Tale dvd (for Dakota) when we miss church, then we discuss the message of the movieas well find scripture to go with it.
To back up to yesterday, I left home aroufn 3:00 to meet my DH in town after he got off work so we could go see the early 3:45pm movie...National Treasure...Book of Secrets. We got there, walked up to the window to pay AND IT HAD JUST SOLD OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?! Oh we were so mad. I had not been out of the house since Tuesday, we had not been to see a movie since Pearl Harbor with Ben Aflec came out and we were reallyyyyyyyyy looking fwd to our date/movie. So we had to try and find something to do. We ended up going over to Lone Star steak house for cheddar bacon fries and then over to our friends house.
Well on the way home my heater in the van was not warming up too good. My windows were getting frosty inside and my legs are feet were just froze! I grabbed my afghan frm the back seat and covered up my legs and all the way home I was just plain cold! So we now have to add my heater to our growing list of repairs. It had been acting up since late summer with only 2 of the 5 speeds woring on the fan when we would turn on the ac, but then 2 more speeds began working so we were happy, well the 4 still work but the heater is not getting near warm enough. We are praying it is a simple fix like the thermostat. Sooooooo, I am keeping the kiddos and myself home today. I need to update my homestead blog, work on my bible study, bake a cake, find a couple recipes, do some cleaning, so I am goign to make a list of what I can get down later this morning. What are you ladies up to? |
